LaVar Ball spoke to CNN’s Chris Cuomo after President Donald Trump offered a pair of critical statements about LiAngelo Ball following LiAngelo’s arrest in China on shoplifting charges.

Ball questioned Trump’s role in the situation and declined to offer a thank you to the president, telling Cuomo he “[doesn’t] have to go around saying thank you to everybody,” per CNN:

Ball said a trip for LiAngelo on Air Force One would’ve changed his attitude toward Trump, according to ESPN’s Darren Rovell:

Ball minimized the gravity of LiAngelo’s crime and called it a “bad decision at a bad time.” CNN shared his statements on Twitter:

The elder Ball also questioned why Trump has turned LiAngelo’s arrest into a bigger story than it already was.

“Let him do his political affairs,” Ball said, per USA Today‘s Dan Wolken. “Let me handle my son and let’s just stay in our lane.”

Ball’s youngest son, LaMelo, reacted to LaVar’s interview:

The originator of the Big Baller Brand entered the orbit of President Trump after Chinese authorities arrested LiAngelo and two other UCLA basketball players on Nov. 7.

While the rest of the team headed home following a Nov. 10 win over the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, the trio of Ball, Cody Riley and Jalen Hill remained in China to resolve their legal issues. They subsequently returned to the United States on Nov. 14.

A day later, Trump tweeted about the process and that the three players were facing 10 years in a Chinese prison:’s Arash Markazi reported Chinese authorities had planned to detain Ball, Riley and Hill for one to two weeks. Yahoo Sports’ Jeff Eisenberg elaborated on that part of the story:

Markazi also spoke to LaVar, who minimized Trump’s importance in getting LiAngelo home.

“Who?” LaVar said when asked about Trump. “What was he over there for? Don’t tell me nothing. Everybody wants to make it seem like he helped me out.”

That prompted a response from the president Sunday:

Given Ball’s defiant comments toward Trump on Monday night, it would appear the war of words between him and the president is unlikely to quiet down.

Actor Terry Crews took time out yesterday to put Russell Simmons on blast via Twitter.

The former NFL player called the music mogul out over an email that Russell allegedly sent to him encouraging him to drop his recent sexual assault charges against Hollywood agent Adam Venit.

According to Crews, Venit, made a few inappropriate sexual gestures to him that included physically groping him at a party last year.

“Message Russell Simmons sent to me regarding my sexual assault case against Adam Venit of @WME: Dear @UncleRUSH—— NO ONE GETS A PASS,” he tweeted.

According to the posted screenshot, Simmons’s email said :

“Did he ever apologize Give the agent a pass ask that he be reinstated. With great love, all things are possible.”

Crews made it clear publicly to Simmons that no one gets a pass!

This alleged email from Simmons certainly isn’t making his own case any better as a woman has come forward with sexual assault accusations against him and director Brett Ratner.

Crews has made it clear that he will not be shamed as he’s done nothing wrong.

What do you think about the email allegedly sent by Simmons?

Justice League Is Enjoyable Despite Flaws

Lady DV reviews the new movie Justice League, which has the whole nation talking…

Warning: Some mild spoilers included.

(AllHipHop Features) Let me start this review of “Justice League” by saying that I didn’t really grow up on D.C. Comics. I was more into reading novels and the encyclopedia to say the least. So, I went into this green. However, the “Justice League” is almost a guaranteed win with some of the biggest super heroes in the history of comic culture.

The movie directed by Zack Snyder exuded stellar graphics and storyline was great, though the plot was a little predictable. At some points I felt like I was a character in the game ‘Heavenly Sword’ for Play Station all while learning the history of the worlds that seemed to intertwine into present day realities. It’s almost like D.C. Comics meets The Matrix.

A war breaks out between three worlds. Enter Steppenwolf played by Ciarán Hinds who is in search of three boxes which is referenced as “Mother”. Mother is the equivalent of the knife in the “Golden Child” starring Eddie Murphy (I Digress). A force that can either create or break mankind existence in the technological age.

Henry Cavil who plays Superman dies…Batman played by Ben Affleck and Wonder Women played by Gal Gadot decides to defend his legacy while dealing with a guilt only one knows if they are into the series, yes the tension and chemistry is that thick.

They enlist the help of Flash played by Ezra Miller, a socially awkward yet sarcastically and quizzically funny kid. He very much knows his powers but is more eager to make friends.

They also recruit Cyborg played by Ray Fisher who once was human and then robotically re-modified due to a severe scientific accident. Cyborg is also a product of “Mother” and the force that science has become.

Aquaman played by Jason Momoa is the heir and current ruler of the Atlantis underground. His macho demeanor gives strength to his already superhuman abilities .

Steppenwolf is wreaking havoc with two of the boxes in his possession at this point in search of the third. The Justice league then decide that they are going to bring Clark Kent aka Superman back to life to help fight the war. Well…lets just say they succeed but Superman comes back and it seems like they instantly feel like they made a mistake!

If you are looking for something to keep you on the edge of your seat and make you laugh, Justice League delivers. They take you through the underworlds of the Atlantis and a Grecian desert war so dangerous it’s threatening mankind’s existence.

Justice League is in theaters nationwide.

As you know, Stevie J told us a few months back that the Puerto Rican Princess, Joseline Hernandez was jealous of rap newcomer Cardi B and her success!

Jealous never looks good on folks, and this “Hate Me Now” diss track is making the reality star/rapper look even worse.

There have been years or rumors of alleged drug use on Joseline’s behalf, so I wouldn’t be surprised if she was under the influence while recording this.

“Y’all ready for tomorrow #hatemenow #JOSAVELI 😌😌😌😌😌😌😌😌😌😌😌😌😌#exposingyouhoes I think ima drop a snippet 2night 👀,” posted Joseline.

Bonnie Bella’s mom raps,

“Drag a Bronx b-tch yea I said it bloody my ass you holler blood who the hell cosigned this HO?”

I would say Cardi B should take the high road and ignore Joseline, but nah…. Cardi get her!

What are your thoughts on Joseline’s diss record?
